Latest main findings for businesses with 10+ employees and a presence in Scotland
- in March 2025, the most common actions businesses had taken to reduce their carbon emissions were switching to LED bulbs (53.3%) and adjusting heating and cooling systems (47.1%)
- an estimated 45.0% of businesses were very or somewhat concerned about the impact of climate change on their business in March 2025, up from 41.2% in December 2024
- an estimated 20.5% of businesses were using some form of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in March 2025, with the Information & Communication sector having the highest share of businesses using some form of AI technology (61.4%)
- in March 2025, AI technology was most commonly used to improve business operations – 46.1% of businesses using some form of AI used it for this purpose
